Screen Cover

Hey everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on covering a screen top to keep in humidity. I know putting saran wrap and vinyl shower curtains are good...
but my little guys (one in particular) like to climb up there and hang out.
Is there some way to cover it with still allowing them to climb up and hang out?
Would the saran or shower curtain on there even prevent them from being able to climb on?

When my crabs had a screen lid on their tank, they climbed up their all the time, I don't think theirs anything wrong with it.
Seran wrap will keep humidity in, but you can't keep em from hangin out up there.

Try doing a shower curtain that is cut just big enough to wrap around the lid and tuck up under. Attach with cable ties to hold it down (obviously poking a few holes through the top layer so they'll hold. That will leave them their climbing place, but keep your lid covered for humidity sake.

I would pass on the shower curtain, especially if you have lamps on the top....those things smell horrid and are kind of noxious right out of the package and Im sure would produce a wonderful noxious smell if warm/heated.
Both of my tanks have screen lids, one I have taped plastic wrap to the OUTSIDE of the lid and left an area open where my lamp sits. This way my crabs can crawl on the inside of the lid and the plastic is not affected.
My other tank has plexiglass sitting ontop the screen lid, this holds in humidity as well and then I have left areas where my lamps sit.

We had a piece of Plexi cut at Lowe's for very little money. Enough to cover our 40L was under $15, IIRC. They can cut it to size for you, usually at no charge.
If you have trouble with the plexi walking, use a little magnetic tape on the corners to hold it in place.

I was wondering about the cost! That sounds better than using this saran that looks really tacky.
Do you have it placed on top of the screen or how does it work?
Is the heat lamp okay to place on top of it?
