I just put some frog moss and trying to grow bird seed in my tat. Has anyone tried?

I use frog moss, I think its by ZooMed, and my crabs love it! Of all the kinds I've tried they like the frog moss the best.

Forgive my stupidity, I'm new to all this. Is the bird seed sprouts for the crabs to eat or just decorative?

When I grew millet and grass seed it ended up just being for the crabs to play in. Some crabs will eat it, and if you have the right lighting it can grow in look very nice. Mainly though the crabs will go tearing through it like Godzilla on pixie stix and have a great time doing so.

I am making it to eat and to look at. We travel a lot and I am trying to make it when we leave if some one forgets to feed them they have food. I will also be putting in rolly pollies for a quick snack. I have been researching their natural habitat. I was thinking of maybe sea monkeys in the pools so the crabs can go fishing has anyone tried?
