My Dollar Tree Finds (picture heavy)
Today I went into my local Dollar Tree and found the following items that could be useful to a Crabitat or Crab owner. Enjoy! This is a climbing vine.
Ice cube tray good for making crabbie treats! Two- for $1 small locking lids containers good for food or supplements. A very large pill organizer, good for setting out a weeks food for a crab sitter or for husbands or children. Spray bottles. I've seen these used for a water pool. This looked like a good and yummy treat! For crab or crab owner! Here's the ingredients: Suction hooks! And shower soap dishes.
When it is time for me to set up my crabitat, I think I'll be returning to the DollarTree!

Dollar Tree Yay! I swear I go in there like 3-5 times a week.
I love those vines. I bought 4 of them and I love how they come in different varieties. I'm not so sure about giving those snacks to the hermits as I see several preservatives in the the ingredient list. Might wanna just keep those for yourself. I've tried those suctions cups and it might be just user error on my part but they always just slid down the glass when I tried to put something on them..even just a lightweight net. If you have the secret to get those to stick I would love to know!

Great find but ive heard sulfur dioxide (preservative) is bad for hermit crabs in that dried fruit nut mix, I love the dollar store
Re: My Dollar Tree Finds (picture heavy)
Yeah, I have since read the nutrition guide for hermits and I definitely won't be giving any hermits that stuff. But I thought, eh, why not snap a pic and figure it out later? I didn't even have to buy it. The store employees probably thought I was a little crazy.

haha yeah I've bought that in the past and read up about it, like you said "For crab owners as well" Lots of small animal and bird fruits and nuts have that same preservative as well in them, I always check the ingredients if I buy something from the store. Awesome finds! I get loads of stuff from the dollar store, plants, vines, plastic containers for pools and those clear holey baskets for moss and shell shopsC_fiesta wrote:Yeah, I have since read the nutrition guide for hermits and I definitely won't be giving any hermits that stuff. Some items I particularly like (and I just pulled the pics off of their website):
I cut this in half and placed it against the glass which made an enclosure which I use for a shell shop and my crabs LOVE climbing all over it.
These come in different sizes and colors. Plus since they have holes already, fixing them to a suction cup hooks is easy. I use one for my moss pit and the other as a second level hang out.
These are a GREAT value (4 for a $1). The plastic is easy to cut so cutting out entrances for hide-aways is easy.
