Hi everyone. i recently purchased a vampire crab from an aquatics retail shop after being told that it could live completely submerged in a tropical aquarium set up. i have since done more research and found out that this species is actually a terrestrial one. not wanting the crab to drown, i geared up a 45 litre tank with all the things recommended on the care sheet i was researching from. he seems to be much happier now in the tarrarium set up so i look forward to embarking into the world of terrestrial crab keeping.
i just thought i should post my situation as a bit of an introduction. i'm sorry i don't keep HERMIT crabs but i just thought that vampires are crabs too so it might be nice to make myself known to a community that knows their stuff when it comes to caring for these amazing animals.

Vampire crabs are awesome! I almost bought some but decided to go with the Halloween crabs (Gecarcinus quadratus) instead. Would definitely like to see some pictures of the little buggers and their setup.
