Red clawed crabs Perisesarma bidens

These little guys are a trip to just sit and watch. They are in a semi aquatic enclosure with heated and filtere brackish water, and they seem to love munching on moss

You would not believe the number pic species of these you can buy... The list goes on and on. Then again i am in fl lol.

I really like this species but I ordered a group of 10 and got all males.

Also, unlike fiddlers, you can't get away with fresh water.

Actually, they very similar to fiddlers in water requirements, but require and thrive in brackish water environments.

I've kept fiddlers for years in fresh water and they've done very well and molted on regular cycles. I used to keep them in brackish and they did not live longer or molt more often. I've kept fiddlers since the early 1980s. However, P. bidens die if you keep them in fresh water.
