Pet Eel

Does anyone happen to know anything about having a pet Snowflake Moray Eel? I'm wanting to do a research project on them and possibly in the future get a pet one

Okay I know this is a very late reply but if you're still interested I am totally willing to force a new hyperfixation on eels and gather as much info as I can for you. I love getting into niche pets lol

(on that note lmk if you want info on, in order of most to least knowledge that I have, blue crabs, scorpions, octopuses, sand dollars, or if you want to check that there's one I know about but am forgetting)

Cool, thanks! I don't know why, but I really like weird creatures, within the past 2 months I've thought of getting a pet pigeon, pufferfish, octopus, sea horse, moray eel, snake, and silkworms lol. I was mainly wondering about tankmates, like what animals would get along with eel.. or be eaten by the eel. I was also trying to think of tanks, because I'm pretty sure they need tanks that are at least 50 gallons, I was trying to figure out if I could use something smaller while the eel is still young, or if I could use a 50 gal plastic box or something? I'd have to be really careful though, because apparently they are very good escape artists!
