They like the shells from Joann's

Two have switched to the green turbos I got yesterday from Joann's fabric store. Although I have too many 3/4 in and smaller, which I do not need. If anyone needs those smaller sizes, I'm willing to send them to you.

Those bags of shells at Jo-Ann's are a terrific buy, even if you find only a few appropriate-size turbos (and the scallop shells make great feeding dishes). I can spend a good half-hour peering into all of bags, shifting the contents of each, to see if any have the sizes I need, and when I get to the checkout, I fairly gurgle with joy at the clerk while explaining my good luck. Guess they're kind of used to me by now  .

You made me laugh, Crabinski. My family doesn't understand my enthusiasm for the crabs. And I can't even get them to look at the isopods.

I never thought to check joanns! Thanks for the tip! I bought a bag of shells that were supposed to be for the bottom of a fish tank but my crabbies buried them all. I've been having trouble finding reasonably priced shells. Amazon is good but I can't tell what size they are besides medium or large.

I just bought a $13 bag of shells from Joann's just because it actually had 1 large green turbo in it. I had a 60% off coupon though so it only came to a little over $5...totally worth it, especially since one of my large guys switched into it that night. I was hoping thst maybe one of the other turbos would meet the apparently high standards of my small painted shell guy but nope, still in the bird shell.

Good deal at Joann's! I hope your guy gives up the bird shell soon. Silly crab
