I have 2 of those shells- purchased them before I knew of the shell guide. My hermits have never looked at them. I have straws also. Hermit crabs are individual creatures- the shell guide just states they are not preferred shells.HeyItsEggs wrote:Gorgeous! May I ask where you got that shell?

Those shells aren't common due to their weight. However for some crabs they do fancy them. You just have to take loads of pics when they do as it's not s common occurrence so enjoy it while you can.

I loved my African turbo shells but the polishing made them so thin that they broke easily

Beautiful. I think these shells originate in Africa, if I am not mistaken, so it would make sense a strawberry might pick it.
