Re decorating 55g!
Re: Re decorating 55g!
Thanks guys! They have 2 moss pits. They have a smaller one in the coconut hut and a larger one in the plastic fish bowl that is undersub. In my previous set up I had a glass vase sunken into the sub as an undersub level with moss and they loved it!! Also a good fun hideout for the Marties (our zebra isopods)!

That looks so good. I like the idea of a sunken moss pit like that!

What are the tubes going into your tank to the pools? What's the functionality there? Do your crabs ever snip them?
Re: Re decorating 55g!
Not my tank but these are called bubblers or an air stone connected to tubing. They act as a humidity booster for those that are having humidity problems. They also keep the water fresher (not cleaner LOL) for a few extra days. Or keep water from going stagnant... So instead of changing pools ever day or every other day, you could get by with changing it every 4-8 days. I've never had a problem with crabbies pinching/snapping the tubing.Kimamelia wrote:What are the tubes going into your tank to the pools? What's the functionality there? Do your crabs ever snip them?

Yep! As daws409 said, they go to the bubblers for the pools:) My crabs love to climb on them and I haven't had any issues with them pinching the plastic tubing - I've had the tubing over a year
