Another upgraded crabitat

Post by p2gg86 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 4:58 pm

By suggestion of a deeper substrate I made an upgrade. Substrate is now 9" 10" inches. Also I found another way to second level by using a net with suction cup hook. I still need a moss pit. I'm thinking a bath caddy will do the job. ImageImageImage

That's only a medium bowl lol. There are larger ones. You can find it in any petco at reptile section.

Our Petco's reptile section is literally 3x3 feet. The store is half dog and one-third cat and what left is mostly fish and small mammal.

I will be checking online though. It looks like a CC bowl and I adore their epoxy decor!

The petco stores in AZ must have it bigger in reptile area. Also try to look in the small animal section, sometime I find useful things.

The bowl name is "medium deep soaker" from the label where I bought mine.

Be warned about the ninja moves escapees! After I finished the tank setup, I put a little time to enjoy my hermies exploring the new setup. They were all over the place and one crab got on the second level net while 2 where down exploring which kept me look at them. While being attending attention the 2, I hear different sounds then the normal sound I hear in my tank. I looked up the second level, Snacki was not there. By following the sounds, I found him already crawling on top of tank cover. Haha caught and is being put back into the tank!

Second escape is the same guy, Snacki! My tank cover is an aquarium cover with a flip-able to feed fish and he was peeking up at on me while trying to get out. He looks so silly when I caught his face lol.Image

They look very similar to each other, so its rather easy to confuse the two!
