Love that wheel

Post by CrabbyLover77 » Tue Dec 21, 2021 5:52 pm

I finally got to upgrade my 4 lady crabs in the 20 gal L to a 29 gal. I know it's only 6" higher than the 20, but what a difference! They are climbing all over. I put egg crate on the sides too. The best part is, only the smallest of the 4 ever paid any attention to the small wheel. Now I give them more room, a second bigger wheel, and we must all congregate on the small wheel LOL.ImageImage

Love it! I wish I would have put egg crate across back and sides of my 29s before adding all the sub. Not only is it perfect for them to climb on, but it gives you unlimited options in attaching other climby things.

I have several branches that run in different directions, spanning the length of my 29s. My crabs are on them seemingly all night long. Sometimes I'll catch them climbing during the day, but usually they're on the sub then.
Two 29gals. 3 PPs in each.
~200gal of fish tanks. Mostly planted community tanks.
Multiple kiddos, doggies and kitties.

Thanks JTK! I really love the egg crate because I can attach baskets to put the shells in. It drives me crazy when they start burying them in the sand lol. Branches are a great idea too!
