tank mod: saltwater pool

plastic pool form the dollar store,instant ocean was on sale at pet supplies plus for 5$ and i got the air pump for free from my mom so excited to start building. going to start making a ramp soon. any ideas on what to put at the bottom of the pool crushed shell coral ect.? opinions? what temp should the water be? also how much instant ocean for 8 ounces of water?Image

Shells, fake plants, smooth pebbles. I usually try to put lukewarm water in the tat but don't concern myself with it overly much.
All of the major salt brands are measured the same, depending on how much you need:

1 gallon of water to ½ cup of salt mix
½ gallon (which is 2 quarts) of water to ¼ cup salt mix
1 Pint (which is 2 cups) of water to 1 Tablespoon (which is 3 teaspoons) salt mix
1 cup of water to ½ Tablespoon (which is 1 and ½ teaspoon) of salt mix
