Warning: this may be a bit lengthy lol. But when are my posts short right? Also please excuse blurry pictures or glares on the glass. There's only so much you can do with a phone camera

The tank is finished and the crabs are in!

Now for my new adopted babies!
The first two crabs I adopted came with lots of goodies. I put quite a few things from that adoption in the tank so I hope it makes them feel more at home

These two were with their previous owner for 4 years! They are both outgoing and curious. Their antennae never stopped moving last night which made taking pictures so hard but I love their spunk!
The first crab I noticed out of the two was Curious George. He is full of curiosity and loves to explore. He's quite a character! He's also beautiful! He's got this dusty grey navy color that I'm not sure really shows in his pictures. I'm in love with his coloration!

In the second and third picture he's the crab on the left. These two pictures were as close as I got to showing his colors. The crab on the right is his tank mate Rosie. Don't ask me why Rosie but she reminds me of one. Her coloration is also beautiful! She's kind of like a dark sunset coloration. She's also very shy of the other crabs and got pushed around by several last night. I also noticed she's a tad bit clumsy compared to the others but maybe once her nerves calm she'll be more steady of herself. Either way she's eye catching.

My second adoption came from right down the road. Speedy and Hercules were picked up at the beach for the kids who quickly grew bored with quickly. Their mom was so sweet in trying to make sure they found a good home and I'm glad they came to me! I'm worried about one of them though

When they're owner was getting them ready for transport, they had to dig one of them up. The crab was molting. Fortunately she told me ahead of time and I set up an iso for him. I'm probably going to keep him in iso through his next molt as he dropped a leg on the way over

I'm really hoping he pulls through.
I'm not sure which crab is which. I was told Hercules is the bigger one but with them being similar in size and trying to rush one into darkness, I didn't get a good look. I think the nonmolting crab is Speedy.
Speedy is so tiny compared to the rest of the crabs but don't let that fool you! This little guy is full of spunk! Rosie came over to take his spot under a log and he promptly let her know that was NOT happening. He's such a cutie!

This is Speedy next to Rosie for size comparison. This was when he told her she couldn't take his spot.

And this is where he stood and watched her crawl away in victory. Like I said he's full of spunk!

There wasn't too much pushing last night. Wilson was my biggest offender. And Lil Mama wasn't too pleased with me but all in all it was a good night with very little drama. I am so happy the new crabs are here and I can't wait for them to get settled in!
