So where do you purchase shells? Aren't all of these shells plucked from nature in one way or another? Jeez. I feel like I need to delete the photos since I'm the very first to share shell shops pics.

It's not necessary to delete the photos. We actually have several threads of pics from shell shops and online shell hauls, so you're not the first to post.

Many shells are byproducts from snails farmed for food.

It is hard to know how many are actually live caught and how many are collected once empty.

@Wodesorel and I were just having this conversation; many Pica shells are now available in India because they are being raised for food.

So I stopped by Richard's when I was in Lakeland Florida over the holiday break. Richard is great. His store is about 15 feet by 15 ft in the front shopping area and just shelves and tables packed in with a walking isle. He is really friendly and the in store prices seem a little cheaper than the online prices. I got some great shells. A few jade turbos that you will all be jelly of for less than $6 each....
I haven't unpacked the box yet, which he packed up for me in a standard UPS flat rate box really well with bubble wrap and everything since he knew I was in a full car traveling home with everything. He really like the HCA and loved talking to me. I recommend anyone who gets a chance while in Orlando or Tampa take a 45 minute drive over to Lakeland and visit the store.
