Stacey from Isopod connections:) Fantastic customer service and looked like many people were satisfied with their purchases! She answered many of my questions via email pretty quickly and thoroughly.

CrabbyCakes, how often do you change out their food ( potatoes, carrots, etc). I've had some potatoes in the tank for the Isopods for about 3 days now ( mini potatoes). I've seen the guys munching on them. Today they r still eating at them but the slices are looking old. Change them out or leave them? Can they actually eat the whole thing ?!

I never take any food out. The isopods will eat it all.

From what I have read the LIKE rotting things. I take the food out after about two days because I have the nose of a bloodhound.

One pro is they will eat the mites! But, I can't deal with mold or decay. We all have our limits.

I am not sure what exactly they are. I found them in my yard. This far I have had one round of babies. Hopefully they will get larger soon and have some babies so I can put some in my tank. I am not really sure when I should move some over. Playing this one by ear I guess.
