I'll have to get back to you on that! I adopted him from another member back in April. This was her very first crab and was rescued from a pet store July 9, 2005. Tidbit of an email to previous owner (her answer in bold): So I finally posted some pics of the gang on HCA and someone asked me how Shelbert lost his eye.... "HAD THE BIGGEST EYES EVER. Edit: sound like bad molts to me... I've heard of some that was repaired with future molts but I guess his damage was too far gone. :'(

Not that I've noticed! Keep in mind I've only had him for a little over a month now. He had recently molted when I picked him up. He eats, climbs, shell shops, and explores just like the rest of my clan does. He doesn't let anyone mess with him or get in his way! It's funny to watch sometimes

No Shelbert has never had an issue getting around he was bought on the VA boardwalk (uugghh). Nice to see them doing well.

Beautiful pictures! I absolutely love that little straw and the one-eyed guy! One of mine lost an eye (she was always fighting with everyone and someone must have grabbed it off!

So gorgeous, especially Carbunkle's coloring! I can't remember the name, but the one in the pic that looks like a spider creeps me out haha.
