He's much more blue(almost sky blue) in person hard to get a good pic of him
His big pincher and left back leg are both white
Sorry for crappy pics, but he's quick and his leg tips are very sharp, OUCH!

And you should really read through this past thread to see the gradual transformations in a C. clypeatus:

Nice looking animal. How did you get the blue to show up that well. It seems a difficult thing to do.

Maybe taking the pictures on a blue towel helped show off his color. Once Miso has settled in I'll get more pictures. His color is really just spectacular and he's a very big boy.

What size was he sold as?

Also - can you put something on there for scale?

Miso was sold as a medium.

I couldn't get a picture of him fully extended while sitting on the sizing chart. He was being shy (for the first time since he arrived home). I'd say Miso is probably a very good sized large according to the standard chart.

Sorry about the darkness of the picture. My camera was also being non-cooperative.

Here's Miso looking a bit bleached out by the lights but still beautiful.

Wow ... a georgeous blue C.violascens in a very neat Cymbolia vespertilio shell. Is it a male or female one ?
