New crabitat

Post by BurnerDownz » Wed Dec 03, 2014 3:59 pm

My boyfriend and his mom bought me 3 huge bricks of Eco earth for only 10 dollars at pet smart.
Yesterday my mom and I spent a little over an hour throwing out all the gravel I had in for them for temporary purposes, watering the Eco earth brick and mushing it and letting it dry for half an hour before I put my crabbies in and let them explore.
It took them a bit to adjust but I think they're happy :) Ernie has already been digging and I know he must love it since he was always digging in the gravel.
The tank is still temporary and my substrate is close to 5 inches. Ernie is my biggest one and he's barely an inch tall so I think it works :) I have chollo wood but I took it out to let them get exercise and eat since they love to sleep in the wood 24/7

They are probably so happy to be in better conditions! Happy crabs, happy crabs ! Just to let you know, maybe try amazon.com for EE next time, they sell 8 quart loose EE bags (which I think is equivalent to seven or eight bricks) for $6.00 (when I first found out I was shocked that anyone would sell EE for that low, normally $10 is a bargin). Say hi to your crabbies for me!
5 PPs; Ghast, Eager, Boomer, Plato, and Indigo
2 Family Dogs; Lilly and Ginger

Have a very crabby day! =D
