*Older & Newer Pics*

Post by marandashermies » Thu Jan 28, 2016 2:37 pm

I found some more pics on my phone that I wanted to share :D
Some are new and some are older.

First I purchased a 36in LED light strip that I totally LOVE! the color is so much brighter than the aquarium light strip it came with. It has a built in timer for day/night cycles, so now I don't have to worry about getting home to turn the lights off in this tank at least.
Here is the day lights;

Here is the blue lights;

Can you spot Bella the Straw?

Here are a few of cute crabbies getting their bath's before entering the tank.

"hey mom whats happening"

This poor fella was sucking from the sponge when I got him. I knew he was seriously deprived of water. He wouldn't let go of the wet paper towel either..haha

Itsy bitsy baby came out to say hi!

This guy lives in the moss pit. Literally I have seen him out of it like maybe 3x ever. He and his buddy bury themselves completely under the moss. But he also came out to say hi and take a nap up top

Right! It's like a dream come true lol its so nice sitting on my couch and whoosh- now the tank is blue! It turns off at 11 and then it's dark the rest of the night. Then the day light pops back on at 7am. I didn't want the 48" because I wanted to leave a corner out of the light. It's crazy how everything pops out and is so much clearer with LED lighting. I never knew! And thanks they are pretty cute aren't they?!

Oh, good...it's not just me who can not see these pictures. Wish I could, though; they sound pretty great. (The "smilies" don't work for me, either.)

Those pics are absolutely amazing! And the crabs are adorable. I am glad you like that light-I want one so bad I can't stand it-but I have to wait. :|

sorry guys, Photobucket was out of commission that day, that's why the pics disappeared for a minute.

But yes, if you don't have this, I would highly recommend it, or something similar. The timer is crucial for me, makes all the difference. lol :D

Hey @marandashermies, what brand/model of day/night LED lights with timer did you get? I'm looking around now and it's hard to find clear information on each model. I'm being seduced by the ones that have "sunrise/sunset" modes! I'm a little worried that a full 36" fixture will be too intense for the 65g, but you got a 36" and your pics look good.
