So far I have my siliconed rods in and added the sub and cork bark.

What would you like to know? I have an forest aquarium background. I used cork bark- which I cut a slice off to make it a corner piece. I siliconed some acrylic rods to the background. The rods have holes drilled in them so that I can zip ties instead of suction cups!nerdycrabs wrote:YES! I am getting so inspired! I have a 20 gal and soon I'll start working on my 55 gal. Could you explain more about how you are doing the background?
I never thought of using acrylic rods like that... Clever! My current tank has an aquarium background and I've hung some hemp hammocks along the sides. I'd really love to make a more natural looking background for when I move to the bigger tank but I'm afraid that if I make it out of the traditional foam board covered in cement, they would pick at it too much. So I've been looking for other ideas to offer climbing opportunities and hideouts. I have hanging baskets as well and I love the thought of having zip ties do the holding, so much sturdier. I'll have to look into cork boards and see what I could do with that. Thanks!Ryry wrote:What would you like to know? I have an forest aquarium background. I am then using zip ties to hold up a fun little basket I made.
I also have some fake plants and cholla. Let me know if you have any questions!
My Indo I got from and adoption. Her name is Poseidon. Because she is a giant and rules the tank!Orangeguy wrote:in your signature says you have 2 violas and 1 indo, how did you get the indo?!
