Another molter up!!

Post by Kermie16 » Wed Oct 19, 2016 9:04 pm

Ok, it's my first time on Tapatalk so please excuse me if this attempt doesn't work! Came home from work today and found that our second tiny hermie, Mini Pinch, decided to come up from his moltImage He is looking great and looks like he got more color! Also thought it was interesting that before his molt his eyes were more orange in color. After this molt it seems they changed to brown.

Also got a pic of him trying to run away from my camera and maybe trying to trick me into being a bubbler ?! Image

MiniPinch looks very good...even disguised as a bubbler  ! Color changes after molts are often quite surprising: salmon-colored crabs turn mahogany or maroon, tannish crabs turn purple, dark crabs get pale, pale crabs go dark -- the mysteries of hermit crab genetics and Mother Nature!
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch

thats so great! i THINK one of my three crabs came up......but changed color to more red. the reason im not sure is if its RoxSand she's gotten much bigger and more red. also Hermione isnt somewhere i can see her so i guess she could have gotten into the iso tuppy ...and changed shells. Im not sure which is more likely.
