Had this shell for a year now and someone finally picks it.From what I have read, it doesn't seem popular, but it looks awesome.

I have 2 of those shells- purchased them before I knew of the shell guide. My hermits have never looked at them. I have straws also. Hermit crabs are individual creatures- the shell guide just states they are not preferred shells. Image I purchased mine at beach shops, but you can get them online as well.

Those shells aren't common due to their weight. However for some crabs they do fancy them. You just have to take loads of pics when they do as it's not s common occurrence so enjoy it while you can.

I loved my African turbo shells but the polishing made them so thin that they broke easily :(

Beautiful. I think these shells originate in Africa, if I am not mistaken, so it would make sense a strawberry might pick it.
