I am so excited about the new addition to my crabitat. I have wanted to build a topper for the aquarium for so long but I lack the skills to do so… Fortunately for me, my dad took on the project, and it turned out amazing!
So the aquarium itself is 130 litres and the topper is the same size. The topper is made of Plexiglas and has allowed some serious climbing space.
I use plantation soil from exo terra as substrate. The sub is 28cm at the deepest point but now that I have more space I will probably make it even deeper next time. I have pools of both fresh- and saltwater, both with their own bubbler. The temperature is usually around 24 degrees Celsius and the humidity is around 85.
I mostly have plastic plants and orchids + spider plant, but I also rotate between maidenhair fern and rose geranium.

You should lend me some of your decorating skills

(looks good!)
What kind of crabs do you have? Violas? They're pretty

Thanks! Correct, I have 3 violas

.
About the construction, we purchased large sheets of plexiglas that we bolted together using small plastic rods (small plexiglas pieces). The plastic rods and the sheets were molten together using an old soldering iron. Any curvature was achieved through heating and gently bending the plastic.
Example pictures of how the bolting was done:

Wow its all gorgeous. I really like how us used both real and fake plants, makes it look really lush without too much plant maintenance
