Spent 14 hours straight on critter stuff today, so figured I'd get the holiday decor out while I was at it!

It just looks huge and so much vertical space! Are those huge cliffs/rocks purchased or did you make them? And maybe it's the trickery of the camera but I swore this would be at least a 55 or larger. Very impressive.

Its not my tank. But I'll take the thank anyway, if she doesn't mind. ;)

The one on the left is cork bark, and they commonly used by reptile/herp keepers. But yeah, she did scape this tank out well!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Halloween is my favorite season! I would give us Christmas and Easter for additional Halloweens! I've been wanting to do this for my tank for a few weeks now, not that I have much time at the moment. I wanted to purchase some standard house decor for the crabitat but didn't want to get anything with harmful plastics, paints or glazes. I pondered building a "haunted house" hide out of big pieces of bark and zip ties . So far I found a Zombie Chia Pet I figured would be safe and edible. BRAAAAAINS!

Any ideas what could be purchased that would be crab safe?

I know you may not want to do this, but your local pet store may have a few fish orientated decor that would suit.

Another thing that comes to mind is an animal skull (particularly with something like a small red light that makes the eyes glow at night?) Something like a moose or deer skull comes in mind, particularly if it hasn't been washed in bleach and whatnot.

Foggers? Could have a little cauldron with one of those cheapo desktop foggers within? Ensure crabs dont have access to the water or they have ways of getting out

Consider making something out of legos if you have them?

Peices of twigs to look like gnarled haunted trees?

Draw little bats or webs on the glass using liquid chalk?

Marbles - especially the bigger ones!

Those trick or treat plastic pumpkin heads - or similar?

I just need the time to get the supplies and decorate. I voulenteer at a charity haunted house every year building sets and acting. We open next Friday so I've been working my regular job then going down there a 3-5 hours almost every night. I pretty much get home, shower, tend to the crabs, eat then go to bed. Hopefully once we are open I will have time to decorate.

I often thought about adding a deer skull and bones I found from a road kill a few years ago. I wasnt sure the best way to clean and sanatize them though. I don't really want to use my cooking pots or stove to boil skulls. I like all things skulls, horror movies, side show oddities etc and decorate my house with that kind of stuff but draw the line at cooking them. That's just beyond my threshold.

Nice decor! I think I remember last year Wode's pumpkin was made by Zilla or something like that! Love the cauldron!

Yep, the pumpkin and cauldron are Exoterra. I wanted the cauldron last year but missed out, and Josh's Frogs had them this year so I jumped! They also make a coffin with skeleton water dish.

The crazy colored fake plants are from Petco. I had bought them thinking they would be a bit more subdued for normal use, but it works for the holiday.
