What a great video and pics! Thanks for sharing! Maybe I should show my crabs your video and ask if they want a wheel too.
Also, is your wheel made of metal? I couldn't tell from the video. From what I've read, metal is bad for crabbies and shouldn't be used in their enclosure. There are plastic wheels out there though since your guys enjoy the exercise.

Wow! You can't say your crabbies don't enjoy their toy! What a great night vision camera too. Love it all.

Thank you!
Yes, the wheel is metal wire inclosed in plastic. It's safe but it's easy to be replaced if they cut through the plastic someway and I don't put it past them
Any metal I use in my tank is plastic coated and inspected often.

Yeah, that's right! They even shove each other to get on it. It took the crabs a few days to really snoop it out and realize this was fun, Now they are on it all the time especially one in particular

I just want to mention that this wheel is not crab safe. The issue is not the metal. The issue becomes two things. Number one - the holes. Number two the bars that hold the wheel. When a crab is walking a wheel and another crab grabs the bar a leg can get lost by being broken off. You are better to be safe and get a Comfort Wheel or Silent Spinner or a saucer. Those wheels are plastic and are closed. They are also only one sided. One way in, one way out.

Thank you for the heads up! Sometimes it takes someone else to see what you don't see and bring it to your attention before someone gets hurt. I can definitely see the danger now. I've been keeping crabs 3 years and I'm still learning new things. I will look and see if I can find one of those wheels that you named off. The one I have them, they absolutely love but cheep enough to toss and get one they won't get hurt on for sure. Don't want my babies hurt!
