Shells your Es like

I've got four little Es (dime to nickel size) that are all in shells the shape of rock shells, but are solid brown. I know Es don't like to change shells much, but two of mine are probably due but haven't done it yet. Can those of you with Es share what kind of shells they actually changed into? I've been able to acquire three shells like the kind they're in from the fish store I got them from, but still no go. I'd love to hear what types of shells your Es liked enough to pick for their new homes. Thanks in advance for your help!

E's WILL wear turbos, mine do. E's are just not big on changing shells in general. Just because you find a bunch of D opening shells, that doesn't mean your E's will even look at them. Some of my E's were with me over a year before they began trying on shells. I've had several who try on and wear turbos.

little E's will go into Nerites and many D shapes. E's are different as far as shell changes. I have an E who needs a new shell but hasn't changed (Although I don't have much selection thats his size) and I have E's that change shells whenever they feel like it. I've had leonard for 6ish months and hes been in a good 6 different shells. E's prefer D openings because their thorax is wider then other crabs, its a comfort thing. But as others have said they will go in a turbo if they like it.E's don't get as big as PP's do. Not many people see very large E's so its unsure what the (generally) max size is for one. ok I'm done my rant, hope it helped.
