Something unusual you may not know about me is...

For the people who have been here a while, I get different voices. Often it's influenced by the avatar and it totally messes me up when people change that

When reading here, it's generally in my own voice. Also, I get annoying de ja vu. As in, I'll think, great, de ja vu again, and I'll have the stupid feeling that I've already said that. I generally get some what disgruntled and wait for the feeling to go away. (No, I don't know why it annoys me, only that it does)

Just curious what you might imagine me sounding like, having never heard me speak outloud. How goofy is it that I'm even concerned about that? lol If I don't know the voice, I just hear my own voice saying the words in my head.I imagine you would have a nice Southern accent though Sue, possibly medium range, not too high? You're right! Except my Southern accent only kicks in when I am nervous, mostly I make a strong effort to pronounce words clearly, and especially anything with a long "I" sound (nine, why, find, pie) I pronounce with a long "I", no drawl. "Would you all LYKE some PYE?" not "LAHK some PAH".

when I read posts & it's not a someones voice I have heard before I hearf my own voice even as I type, kind a built in proof read.went to a library seminar yesterday they say people who do read & that read a lot have the ability to open the minds & imaginations and set a scence and it can be very vivid as far as what the plot to the story is. people who read are more likly to be better problem solvers, language skills as well as spelling.I do have the dejavue or however you spell it thing going on.

[quote] I can also tell when a person is "bad". There are a few people I have seen who really scared me. They just give off VERY bad vibes. **How long do you see them?>?Is it like a flash or can you stare at them? Sometimes they are "there and gone", but most of the time they are there long enough for me to tell them I can't help them. I've seen people move about a room FULL of people and no one notices them at all. I look back at my childhood and wonder how many people I spoke to weren't really there. It's enough to drive you crazy.[quote]For the most part I see people. Sometimes I've wondered if it's just left over energy and I'm extra sensitve to it. I can speak to them sometimes. Other times, I won't be able to.[quote]From Korckina:**It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to know I'm not as crazy as I think. Thank you. If you ****EVER**** need to talk, I'm just an email away! I understand what it feels like to "be alone" when you really never are. You aren't crazy. I truly believe there are many of us, but everyone is afraid to admit it! I've met people who happily say they can communicate with animals. Now THAT is something I'd LOVE to do. [quote]Thank you. I don't know what else to say.

quote:I tried to quote everyone in one post, but it isn't working for me, If you can't get it to work by using the Website help instructions of highlight, reply, highlight, reply... you can manually force the quote by putting a [quote] before the text and another one after with a (slash) / right before the q. (I can't type it to show you bc the s/w will perform the action.)

quote:Originally posted by NoddalottaFarm:Okay, my turn. Something unusual you may not know about me is..... (I cannot *BELIEVE* I am going to type this!) I see dead people. No, seriously, I really do. Ever since I was tiny, I "see" people who have passed. The first experience I can vividly remember is when I was in kindergarten. In the past 2 years, I have finally told my mom and my husband. My mom said she knew I had some kind of "ability" but never wanted to admit it. TRUST ME, when you tell people you are sensitive or that you see dead people, you are called either crazy or creepy, so you tend to keep that to yourself. Okay, I'm prepared.... call me crazy. I know exactly what you mean. I see them too. It started for me when I got my first monthly visitor at 11. not just the dead, I see a lot of things I don't want to see too but I wont get into that. Mom had me taken to a psychiatrist but he said I was a normal child with an overactive imagination. My fiance knows and accepts it. Funny thing though, Grandma said that every woman from our great grandmothers side has a "gift". Great grandma was a full blown witch (not making this up). She mostly got rid of bad things for people. My sister is a bit of a precog so we have become very close since our "development". She can see when very bad things are about to happen, but only very bad things. She's never said "Hey mom, play these numbers in the lottery" but she did see the exact moment when moms former bf crashed her car into a telephone pole. And when mom almost died (we found out she was a diabetic that day).Ok something else you may not know about me: I'm a compulsive hand washer and I can work in any artsy medium you can think of. I also cant fall asleep unless I have something that smells like my fiance with me. Sometimes I steal his pillows or a shirt (gently used) of his that hasn't been washed yet. Creepy I know, but for some reason It makes me feel safe and happy.

About the voice thing, we should have like a sound posting thread. Like attach a sound document with someone saying a sentence like "I love my Hermit Crabs" or something like that. Or just like "Hi, my name is ______, and I own Hermit Crabs."

Howdy everyone! I haven't been on in a while and thought I'd add to this.I have this thing about my clocks, especially the digital ones in the kitchen on the stove, coffee maker and microwave. I practically have them synchronized within seconds of each other. I know, I'm goofy.

I teach cake decorating classes and I decorate cakes. I barter cakes for other wares. Friends give us tons of hand me downs for the kids, they get cake. Our friends gave us the computer I am using, a Mac G4 tower they were just going to get rid of. Works AWESOME. I had made a 3 tier Mardi Gras cake for his 40th. Love paying it forward.

how'd that go for you Deb? and Heidi, where are you located? Do you have any pictures of some of your work? As for me, I have anxiety attacks weekly, and sometimes more than once daily. It's mostly stress induced and I am stressed all the time due to my profession/work. I also care more about my animals than most people. I have a trust issue with people and I don't have very many friends, so I spend my time caring for and interacting with my animals.
