my fat cat

so we just got Toby figured out, he had fur balls and took 120$ to figure it out..now my cat is sick! he has stopped going to the bathroom, a few times he has pooped in front of the bathroom door but as far as peeing nope! I have to phyically pick him up and take him there and put him there to pee

now is being treat for uti, but I don't know..I have a feeling something is wrong next is a trip to be xrayed

Make sure they check his kidneys. It could be something with that. Kidneys, liver, and bladder. My friend's cat's kidneys were failing. I hope it isn't this for your sake. I would hate to lose my baby kitty (Who is 10 years old now)

well today he has actually went to the cat box looked at it and turned away but that was after i had already shoved him in there and he peed and pooped. later while trying to figure out how to do this gate cause I was told to block him in the bathroom he came over to see what was going on so I shoved him in the bathroom and he finally went in by himself and peed . well we don't have a normal bathroom door just a tri fold door so I borrowed a baby gate and of course nothing in our house is square so it won't fit, I tried propping it up and shoving chairs up against it but he just shoved them away. I switched to bottled water and a smaller bowl to and he is drinking more now , before it was big bowl and he would just hang over it and not drink much. who knows?? could it be the water he is sensitive to? the meds are starting to kick in, maybe switching cat foods had something to do with it? I noticed him scratching at his cat beds and dribbling on them earlier on but I thought he was marking his places cause of The ferret cause he was still going to litter box and it was full of urine when I changed it and stunk..friday if he isn't going in by himself then he will be taking a trip to get stuff done and see what else is going on

If you have a bunch of chlorine in your water it may be that. I would go to the home depot and get a water test, send it in for free and get your water tested. Just in case he is trying to tell you something and you aren't quite understanding.

I have been giving him bottled, he is peeing a little more { the clumps are getting bigger } and he went by himself today. so maybe he is getting better? he got sick a few times,just some white froth, then a little digested food. did it 3 times. today he acts better. I looked up his meds and it said can cause tummy upset. I think i will give him the week end and finish the meds and mon if he is not better and really going then he is going back and have x rays

talked to the vet today he said as long as he eating and he must be drinking some water if his pee clumps are getting bigger we should wait, try sticking his food bowl in the bathroom so he has to go in there if he is hungry. well after endless cries of I'm hungry and where is my bowl and me taking him in there, I gave up.. he is stubborn he went to the bathroom on his own again I took the bowl out and put it back where it was. we shall see how he is this weekend
