crab not moving
After my crab came up from molt or I should say I went looking for him and found him pretty much impacted in sand. He was moving around on top then just stopped. He was in a corner and just stayed there. The sand was getting funky odor. He wasn't even going for water. I did a change out yesterday. 55 gallon tank that had about 4 or 5 those bags of sand and it was damp. I had to put in a gallon bucket carry it out of my living room through my kitchen to my back door down some steps and dump in a 20 gallon tote. It filled the tote. I used 6 bricks of eco earth in the tank. He has been walking all over and today he is in the food bowl I have crushed oyster shell, worm casting, dandelions, and some honey dried stuff I got from a crab place..your to mix w water but they like it dry. Now today I can't walk. My fibro is in over drive. My muscles are so tight and sore and burning and I'm so wiped out..I'm getting where I just can't do this 55 gal tank but I have so much money in it I'm not going to sell it for no 75$ for what I paid for it. I have 200$ or more in it now. I only have 2 crabs left. One up and 1 in a molt if he lives

crab not moving
So, are you posting because you're concerned that your crab is not moving? Or is he okay now?

At first I though you put this in the wrong spot, but then I realized you were killing two birds with one stone and gave us an update on your crabs and your health at the same time.Sorry you feel so bad and glad your crabby is moving around again. Why do you have $200 in your tank. If its decorations and substrate can't you just transfer that over to a smaller tank and the extra stuff just switch out so they have something new every few months to play on?In your condition I really would consider going smaller so its a lot easier on you. And 2 crabs will have plenty of room in a 20 or 30 gal tank.

When I bought it for the 75$ it said had a stand. The stand was a home made 2x4 boards that stunk like cat pee. So new stand 110$ the top lids and lights were junk and broke. Two new light / lids to fit my tank 40$ each. Then I wanted glass lids instead of those plastic things that came with my lights, they were about 30$ each. This is not including my decorations or substrate changes, many crabs I have had and lost because of stress or bad molting, foods, shells..omg do I have shells! I must have 5-6 jumbo shells that I paid 15-20$ each for. He spent all day in the food bowl then I took it out and he went on a branch and didn't move. I dint know if he just is missing his pal or not used to this eco earth or might be stressed from being in that gross smelly sand. I fondness w my crabs other than changing waters and feeding them. I don't have kids around to stress him out. Hope he snaps out of his funk

If things are not making sense..auto correct on Kindle strikes again. I'm tired of trying to go back and make it the way I want it..
