Caught a stomach bug have been sick for two days..

I think I know where I picked this stomach bug up and I've been feeling poorly for two days now with several symptoms fever, head ache, body ache, sour stomach and nausea just to mention a few so I've been sleeping a lot and haven't been up to doing much besides just laying around.I absolutely hate being sick and I'm hoping this is just one of those forty-eight hour bugs.

It's probably from all the stress too. I know I get really sick when Im really stressed out. Just relax for a little. And to bring down a fever try putting ice packs under your armpits. It works! That's a trick I learned in the hospital

I had it a while back..but it lasted a week or more and I was not moving fair from a toilet.

@Paperhartz, yeah I've been really stressed out for quite a while dealing with loosing my house and having to try to find somewhere else to live because at this point I'm basically on my own as far as paying my bills which I only have two which are not big bills just my cell phone and cemetery plot.My lymph-nodes in my armpits are swollen up to the size of a golf ball and are very tender and hurt like crazy so putting ice under my arms is not an option right now but I will remember the info for another time.I've been so stressed for so long that I have lost close to fifty pounds and now my clothes don't fit right anymore.I'm having to move in with my aunt and uncle and I'm not going to be able to take all of my stuff with me so I'm planning on donating a lot of it to the Good-will so new wardrobe here I come.@Laurie, yeah I've been back and forth a lot and I'm still not feeling well today, I hope this doesn't last a week..

if you arent sensitive, or it does not interfear with any other medications you may be taking i suggest ibprophen because it helps with fever and swelling. i hope your able to bring the swelling and fever down somehow. and we are all here for you! i understand the longer term stress thing. ive been in the financial situation im in for like 2 years now. and unfortunatly my body chemistry made me gain weight. and will you be able to take your hermit crabs? i hope its not too hard of an adjustment. get well soon.

Hang in there, get well soon. I know that when I get cold and tired and stressed it is a bad combination, that’s when I get sick. I too hope you can keep your crabs and continue helping on the forum, I really appreciate your input on such a wide variety of subjects. BTW, Got to add Dog the bounty hunter and wife Beth to list of celebrities I have met. He sat right by us at the Brighton park to watch the concert, fireworks and laser show. He was very personable, nice guy to take time to talk with us. Get well soon.

My aunt doesn't have a problem with my pets, in fact she's owned hermitcrabs in the past and likes them so they aren't an issue.I may or may not keep my guinea pig that will depend on the space I have available in my new room but I'm definitely keeping my hermitcrabs.I'll have a better internet connection at my aunts house so that wont be an issue but I am looking at possibly having a job soon so I won't have a whole lot of free time but I will make sure to stop by here as often as I can to keep up with everything.Thanks for the well wishes and thoughts they are much appreciated.I have been taking ibuprofen for so long my body has built up a tolerance to it so it doesn't work as well as it used to anymore though it does still help a little.

Lymph nodes swollen?? I think I would be checking in on that if you have this flu like symptoms on.top..

@Laurie, I've had issues with my lymph-nodes since I was a small child having to deal with constant infections like tonsillitis, strep, laryngitis and inner-ear because my tonsils are defective.I should have had my tonsils removed when I seven but my pediatrician wouldn't order the surgery saying that they were not bad enough to require removal but in fact they were and I've had to deal with the complications ever since so when I get sick it tends to be worse on me than others because my tonsils are not filtering the stuff they should be.On another note I just found out tonight that my aunt is having issues with her internet its been out for a couple of weeks because the phone line that AT&T put in wasn't properly covered over when they put in the ground so the line got damaged and needs to be replaced so its likely that I won't have internet when I move in so I won't be on here until it gets restored.

I had my tonsils yanked at 16, I had 're occurring tonnsilitus, glands swelling, just wanted to sleep all the time. Mine were so nasty! I mean I would get over it and in a week or two bam I would be sick again. My aunt just got over this bug thing this past week.. She had to get 2 shots and meds.
