I've been delegated with putting up the family Christmas tree today and I've got to help mother put out her snowmen whatnots when she gets in from work later. How many here have already started decorating, have done all of their decorating or are putting it off till the last minute?

Because of travel schedules and insanity of the past (for instance my mother had a stroke on 11/30 nine years ago) we always do our decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have been very ill in the last year and my mother died this past year so we decided that we needed an extra long Christmas this year so we started playing Christmas music right after Halloween and we started decorating two weeks early. I have my cards mostly done and ready to mail. We only have a couple more things to hang and the outdoor decorations to put up. Gifts will be done this week.

I finally got the tree put up and lit after two hours of hard work and I still haven't gotten around to doing the ornaments, I guess I'll just have to do those tomorrow.lol

My next door neighbor had christmas lights out on since before halloween and lighting every night til now. Since they're way richer than me (not that i'm jealous lol), they even made a manger out their front yard with life sized paper mache animals and humans. How's that for ber-month xmas? LOL

The year my mother had her stroke on November 30, my Dad left the Christmas decorations up until she came home, which was in March. We added yellow ribbons in January.

Well my mom donated 2trees to the library so I went and got a 7ft one got it all out, no directions and the base is whacky! We are trying to figure out how you put it together, finally j look on the box and its not even the same.. instead of going to the library and dragging the other one up I just went to d.g. and bought the last UN pre lit tree they had. Had new white lights to put on it to. Had the tree up with lights on it in about an hour. Brought my original tree down so I could get my ornaments off it. It was one of those trees you see at Ben Franklin's looks like a real tree with real wood, all put together. Real skinny to. Got all my snowmen out and my Mickey mouse that is dressed like Santa nd he moves he's 20 years old. My folks got my brother one Nd they had one and mine is the only one that till works. My crab tank has Windows clings Nd a bow on it to. Just have a few more Christmas gifts to get and I am done!

How funny window clings on the tank never thought of that. I have no room to put a xmas tree on top of the fact my sister's baby is crawling and trying to stand up so he'd probably knock it over or break the ornaments anyway. I am however going to dig out a small 2' desk tree to put out since Santa has to have something to put presents under according to my daughter. The latter part of this year has been hard financially so I didn't get to get as many things as I would've liked to on Black Friday but I was able to get a couple more expensive toys at cheaper prices I just have to stagger the other few gifts I'm getting. Its times like this your xtra thankful for the kindness of others.Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
