Who's your favorite bands?

Good ones! I always found it funny that Saturday Night Special was pretty much an anti-gun song, yet the rest of their songs almost all mention guns in good ways.

My brother is really really into dub step/house/dance/whatever electronic music you can name. Some of the songs are actually okay, but now he is trying to make some of the music on his own!!!!!!!!! :bang head: It annoys me so much! For now, he is just mixing together different songs.

Now I'm enjoying Whiskey Myers, Will Hoge, and the Duck Dynasty "Duck the Halls" CD.

@Obba, please don't take this the wrong way but I come from a long line of musicians I can play pretty much anything put into my hands so I don't respect dub step, techno and rave as actual music because theres absolutely nobody playing an actual instrument it is all computer engineered sounds and mixing on a switch board and last I checked a switch board/PA system is not a musical instrument.lol@Noswad, I just got the last copy of Duck the Halls at my local Wal-mart yesterday and I've already gotten hooked on it.lol

@crabber85: I know a dubstep artist, and he is an expert on musical theory (He is also a really good guitar player). Although it isn't quite as pretty as some other types of music, dubstep is (some of it) still an art.

@NickB, true some will find value in Dub-step as everybody has different tastes they will like different kinds of music and I use the term lightly as some of the stuff really isn't music at all just a bunch of nonsense like Miley Cyrus tends to spit out.lolI guess I'm just old school in my music tastes, I rather get to see people actually playing a physical instrument while singing versus some guy rerper rerping on a mixing board like so many of these new D J's like to do...Give me some good ol' music anytime and I'm satisfied.

I definitely agree. Seeing real people play real instruments is much better than that.
