So I'm looking on craigslist for a good deal on a new aquarium. My husband runs down to the store and drives right by a dirty old octagon aquarium on a stand sitting at the end of somebody's driveway - FREE! It's gotta be at least 60-75 gal I'm guessing and the stand is home made but real well made - sturdy oak. We already cleaned it up some and it's totally awesome I'm so excited. It came with a glass top and even a light hood that takes normal fluorescent bulbs. YAY Total score.

Hexagon. Not octagon. It's been a long time since I took geometry...

Yay! Wish that would happen to us! I was also looking on Craigslist tonight! Even though I've only had my 3 a week, a 10 gallon just doesn't seem big enough! And I want more!

It is my firm belief that you can never have too many! And the bigger the better for tank size. I found an online calculator and I guess the tank is only 40 gallons but hey it was free so no complaints here...

when i got my new crab i got all the goodies it came with (house deco and crapy food) the 10g tank and stand for $25 i thought it was a way good deal since i spent over $100 getting hermies and sharkys tank set up. i been talking with my hubby and were going to stack the tanks and cut a hole...ie half..of the bottem off the 2nd tank and give then 2 levels and make sure its got a good seal but i can take the 2nd tank off so i can clean it really well.PS... im watching hermie dig under her fresh water bowl now!!

Oh my gosh I hear you! We are staying with my mother in law temporarily so I have no room to expand the crabs. I won't even be able to set up my new tank until we move out - probably in Jan.

I'm a Donnie Girl since forever, but Jordan is starting to persuade me, especially when I had the Jordan/Donnie sandwich in Cincinnati at the afterparty last month. He just stared into my eyes and said "hey.." I was done!

I guess it's actually pretty easy to make your own tanks. Mine was custom made, so it's kind of an odd size (14 gallons 22x15x10) and I found it on craigslist . it was pretty overpriced ($39) but the guy was so sweet. The thing I really like is that the lid is glass and has little tabs to open the lid. Gotta love craigslist!
