Look what i came home to LOL

Post by Tongue Flicker » Fri Jan 24, 2014 5:26 pm

So i just came home after picking up some mini-grocery and this is what you get if you forget one of your back doors open plus one adventurous free-roaming pet sailfin lizard.. Luckily, no one's hurt except my trash bin (fyi, i always keep all bottles down due to some pesky neighbor's pigeons and thank goodness the old garbage was already thrown out before i left) lol

Kyle my son has come home to 2 free roaming ferrets running around that stop dead in their tracks with a look in their eyes that said (what?) We are playing... Not sure how long they have been out of their cage..

Haha! I love it when free-roaming pets are caught in the act, stops at what they're doing, looks at you and thinks: you're not seeing us lol

Yes they are very funny to catch in the act. I think the maddest I ever got at one was a few years ago when we had a different hamster then the one that just died. It managed to figure out how to unfasten it cage door and got out roaming around the house (before we had an inside dog). Well a few weeks prior to that I had planted a bunch of different garden seeds to start and they were about a healthy 3" tall. I walk over with some water to water them (before we realized the hamster was out) and to my surprise and dismay they are all chewed in half. As I'm scanning them I spot the hamster and he looks at me like "what?" and continues to stuff his face finishing the last 3 or 4 plants. I carefully pick him up and put him back in the cage but was mad at him the rest of the day. Also removed some of the plants after he spit them out so he would get sick from eating to many. Buy that time I just restarted everything outside in the garden it just took longer for them to produce.

My girlfriend would go out on her porch (which is completely enclosed by chicken wire) and find someone had been eating the plants. It was being done very neatly, very systematically, almost politely. Whoever was doing it was sneaking past two cats. Who is this local spirit?Well, eventually, the cats figured out who it was and took turns entertaining a small lizard. There's a lot of goings on in the house. It's not all about us.

Wow a 2 and half inch lizard that munches on your plants. That's gotta be something haha. Most lizards i know that size are mostly insect eaters
