Freezing baby food

Post by mosher3 » Sat Nov 08, 2008 11:34 am

I bought my crabbies some organic baby food. It's expensive and only comes in packs of 2...so I am thinking of portioning it our on a piece of wax paper and freezing it. Then I can give some to my babies on occasion. Has anyone tried this? If anyone has...did it work?

I found a mini ice cube tray at a second hand store for like a quarter. Makes nice little squares about 1/4" thick or however you want them.

On a cookie sheet I took wax paper and put dollops on it about the size of a dime. Then I put another piece of wax paper on top then put it in the freezer. The I cut them apart and put them in a labeled baggy. I haven't looked at the meats...I would think they would have to list all ingredients...but maybe someone else on here knows more about that.
