http://deltonaseashells.com/homeSo I just got my shells in that I orderder from them. I had to guess on what sizes would work since the do shell length and not the size of the opening. However while I did get some shells that are too small that is not their fault. The shells I got that are the right size are really cool looking and they were inexpensive. They shipped exactly when I was told they would and arrived wrapped in newspaper and clearly marked Fragile on every side of the box. Customer service was quick, I noticed after submitting my order that I had typed my shipping address incorrectly and they fixed it in a very timely manner. I think they are a great buy especially if you know how long your shell should be but for me the too small shells aren't really an issue as they will make it into the craft room and I am sure be used to make something, maybe even for their habitat.

I just got my order from Deltona today too! I was surprised how quickly it came since their website mentioned they may take up to a week or two to get the order out. Mine were also packed extremely well and the only issue I had was one of the shells had a small hole in it and I received 3 shells that were slightly different than what I ordered. I've notified them of the error and am sure I'll hear back. Not a big deal. However I really misjudged the size on some of them! lolThe shells were within the size listed on the website, but it made me wonder what in the world I was thinking when I ordered! haha

I placed my order to Deltona on June 1st. Today is June 17th and the order is still not packed and shipped. This far exceeds their estimated one week delay during the "busy season" which they conveniently (for them) do not say when exactly that is...Even if these shells come gold clad, this will probably be my first and only order.

I got my order from Deltona today. As much as I'd like to say I'm disappointed, I'm not. I'm very happy with the quality of the shells and the price. Here is my order--minus 7 broken shells that were in a bulk bag. Of the broken ones 2 are savable. The shells in the lower right corner are huge...tennis ball to baseball sized. The merchandise order totaled $90.00. -So-if you can afford to wait a long while for your order, you will be rewarded with some lovely shells at a reasonable price.http://i270.photobucket.com/al...der.jpg?t=1340317584

Sounds like they made themselves a huge client base xD This site has a lot of people. These shells sound like they are relatively cheap, natural non-painted shells, and range greatly in size. One question, are the insides mother of pearl?

Yes...they are natural shells some polished and some not. Natural turbo shells have MOP on the inside

CierraWithTeni - I am of the firm opinion that the only dumb question is the one not asked. How else do you learn?Peg

I hate to be mean, but my first though was "Whoa!!! Did you get enough shells?" That's quite a big order, but you have a lot of crabs that need those!lol Can you tell me what type of shells are your biggest, their opening size, and the price they were. I am trying to make a smarter order list than what I already have. I want the most/biggest shells I can get without breaking my wallet. So it means I want to make a $25-$30 order. I will have to call and see if they will work with me, although I can see right now that they are going to hate me! XD I have singled down on turbo's, possibly jade and petholatus. Depends on size. I want some shells that are bigger so I don't have to worry later.

@Cierra--I didn't mean to insult you. It was not a dumb question--a newbie question maybe, but not dumb!

@Dylan--I ordered 3 of these...but what I got is bigger than what is listed.http://deltonaseashells.com/inc/sdetail/157/694I noticed that these are even bigger, and only $14.00 each--not too, too bad.http://deltonaseashells.com/inc/sdetail/157/186232or these for 9.95 each:http://deltonaseashells.com/inc/sdetail/157/186233Call them...somewhere on the sight it says that they will help you with opening sizes if you call and ask. I'm very happy with the shells and like I said, the ones I ordered were bigger than I expected.

@Dylan again--Yeah, I have quite a few crabs. LOL!A lot of the bulk shells I bought are too small for my crabs, so I will probably be passing those along. With 85 or so crabs--I finally might have 3 shells per crab now--maybe even a few extra. This is my 4th or 5th order of this size from various companies. Back in the beginning a lot of the shells I ordered had the wrong openings or were the wrong size--live and learn...Edited to add--count them! I estimated that there are about 220 shells on the table. I didn't count them, I just guessed!
