I finally got found an e at petco! I'm not sure they realized he was different because he was the only one. I have two more on the way from live hermitcrabs.com plus a possible extra! I'm so ecited right now!!!! I named him dory and he is sooooo active!

Congrats on the Ecaudorians they are pretty cool, I've got three myself and they are so active day or night that the tank doesn't seem too quiet when everybody else is down molting.lolPetco is pretty good about getting them in from time to time but Pet-smart never has them being that their particular supplier doesn't deal with the other species just the Purple Pincher.I believe its either A-Pet or Petland is the supplier for Pet-smart and Petco uses a private supplier.Again congrats and if you need us we are here.

My crazy new crab, dory has changed shells 3 times already in 1 1/2 days!! I heard that E's changing shells is rare!?!

In general yes to have an e change shells once in the course of the time you own it is very rare.I've only ever seen two of my three switch shells once in the last four years, my smallest and newest one has been in the same shell for the last three years and absolutely refuses to give it up regardless of how small and ill fitting it is.
