further news on EGGS!?i was able to get a few photo's of my new hermit crab who came to us full of eggs.Clementine is doing well she keeps adding water to her shell each day. Two nights ago she lost some of her eggs while changing shells. she carefully tried scooping them back in poor little thing. I must find a new shell for her because every night she has tried the same shell on then rejects it, returning to her own/old shell. We have a variety in there but they are very particular. My heart goes out to her that we don’t have a warm ocean here (MA) for her to deposit those eggs into…

Poor thing. Yep, they look like eggs. That's so cool! You could try offering a deep water pool for her to deposit them in. They wouldn't hatch, but it may give her a little relief. I don't know if they're ready yet or not.

From Lynneannv:"clementine held on to the eggs for about two weeks. then she deposited them behind the castle. we were trying to figure out a way to get her somewhere, but she took care of it herself. makes me sad though. since then she became a real fashion plate. she would change shells every night (one night she changed 6 times) we never knew what she would be wearing in the morning! and she wouldn't let the other crabs near the shells. now she seems to have settled into one of the shells and doesn't seem to attack the others. thanks for asking!"
