keeping good humidity

I really need help keeping humidity in my tank I spray it a lot but then it goes away and my humidity guage dont work any alternatives for checking humidity

Spraying a lot can cause a lot of water build up that will end up on the bottom of your tank.been there, done that! If your substrate is moist top to bottom and when you put your hand in and it feel warm , tropical like I think you will be o.k. it helps if you have a good lid to. I went years with out having a temp / humidity thing. I bought one about two months ago and its junk again, I paid 6$/for it. I'm done with them.
