Are these new water dishes good?

So I replaced the water dishes finally, but wanted to see if you guys think they are ok. Should I but some rocks in there too or is the mesh enough? That water dish looks great! You can add stones or shells if you want but the mesh will work fine yo get them out. Is it attached? Don't want someone taking it away on you! Love Kermie in his new shell! They are all very handsome in their natural shells.

The mesh is tied on with natural hemp in four places. I figure I will be able tosee if there are any damaged ties when I clean out the dishes each week. Hemp is ok, right?
