Iso'ing the crab is the first stop, this crab has been under an immense amount of stress which is probably why it dropped nearly all of its limbs.Limb dropping is an indication of PPS which stems from lack of proper care so whoever had the crab before you didn't know what they were doing and subjected the crab to more stress than it could handle.Isolate the crab in its own enclosure for at least the next month preferably longer as it may take some while for the crab to fully recoup enough to attempt a molt.Make sure your offering nutritious goodies like raw or organic honey, organic peanut butter and mushed bananas as these are easy to eat and digest high energy foods that the crab is going to need right now if it is to recover. If both pinchers are missing thats going to make recovery for the crab harder because your going to need to hand feed it at this point. It will take one molt to generate the limb buds, another molt for the buds to develop into miniature limbs and at least two maybe three more molts for the limbs to get back to near normal size, so were talking at least four consecutive molts instead of one to regenerate the lost limbs and to get them back to a more normal size.I've never had a one legged hermitcrab and I've never known anyone who did to successfully nurse the crab back, not that it can't be done I've just never seen or heard of it before.

Sounds good. I'm make sure he has those various foods accessible in bottle caps as well as water and I suppose move him between them throughout the day, as well as keeping his environment dark so that he can produce the moulting hormone if need be.He seems to be a fighter. He's eaten some small shrimp pieces that I'd offered so far.
