I got a surprise this morning

Post by renegade29 » Thu Jul 24, 2014 1:28 am

I woke up this morning, looked in my crabitat and got a big surprise. Miz Biz switched shells! She is now in one of the natural seashells I provided for them, so I threw out her old painted one.

Congratulations, I know how much of a relief it is to have a hermitcrab switch out of a bad shell into healthy shell.

I thought you were going to say you found her running across the floor. That's always a surprise.

Update: I got home from work tonight to find that Renegade switched too! I was really happy. They also seem happier in their new shells, they've been more active.

Hermitcrabs don't typically switch shells or do much of anything that would put them at risk unless they are comfortable with us so your crabs must be very comfortable with you.
