Hmm. Im so close to getting my 55 gallon, the minute it's been a week without any issues, I'm ordering crabs!

As of June 25th the LHC site sent me a notice of a 2 week arrival time (depending on their stress level). I'll keep you all posted, and hope to put up pics as they should arrive this week. This has been a long and frustrating transaction but hopefully it'll pay off. 3 month strawberry in the making lol...

Wow, how exciting for you!! I would love to have a few Indos but am so concerned about the wait etc. I'm not sure if I want to go through with it. But I really don't know where else to get them. I also read on another forum that the owners of Live Hermit Crabs have a young son who is very ill, and is in and out of the hospital, which is taking a toll on their usually good Customer Service.

If that is the case than I completely respect that. Just some notice would be nice. It feels like I've been scammed tho. i just want my strawberry and his travel companions haha. I got their tank ready for a week now and they just won't come, and i receive no emails from the site.

I can understand that too. And it would be nice to put somehthing up on the main page that the business will be running slow.

At the 3 month 2 week mark. No crabs. No replies. Safe to say this site sucks guys. Hopefully by next week. May need a lawyer lol...

I really don't understand whats taking them so long. In the past a couple of members here have ordered from them with satisfactory results...

I talked to her earlier in the week, I don't know if it ever got posted here, I haven't been able to get on here from work and I don't usually get on at home, ANYWAY...the crabs DID arrive on June 25th, HOWEVER, even though she waited an extra two weeks for a mite free guarantee on her strawberries, they arrived with mites!! So she has been treating them all for mites, as well as stress. She had several that did not survive the trip and the others were pretty stressed. I think yesterday or the day before she said it was going, but very slow going because she didn't want to stress them anymore than they already are!! I suggested she post that on the site but I'm not seeing it yet.I too have been waitng over three months!! But what other choice do we have?**oh, I'm not sure where you are but I have gotten six straws locally in Charlotte, NC**

I don't get the lag in service to be honest but then again I don't know anything about acquiring hermit crabs in a business setting like that.

yeah I don't either, I don't know how much of it is within her control. I would love to see that set up though. She said she had gotten something like 1500 crabs in, where on earth do you put that many crabs??

Typically the person would have lots and lots of holding tanks in one room or a couple though I don't know how she does it.

What if she has one big room that is othing but a hermit crab tank??? I always thought that would be kinda cool but hard to manage....and expensive.
