I'm not sure about the Eucalyptus leaves, but the hibiscus is fine, they sell it at the Addition Store.

Yeah, eucalyptus is a natural insect deterrent so I would lean towards not feeding that one. But hibiscus is ok.

Yes eucalyptus is unsafe for crab use.It has been used as tea tree oil to heal crab injuries in rare cases, but definitely don't feed it to them.

I agree Eucalyptus is a natural odor/fungus/mold killer as well as an insect deterrent and the chemical responsible comes from the oil in the leaves which makes the plant leaves and all toxic to hermitcrabs if ingested.

I wouldn't recommend having it in the enclosure in such close quarters witht the crabs as the odor released by the plant will be a respiratory irritant to the hermitcrabs at the very least.

Not to mention most crabs will taste test everything in the tank. Their mouths are just so small that you can't see they took a bite unless they take a bunch of bites.
