Important announcement regarding the ownership of landhermitcrabs.com

Greetings everyone!I have some very important news to share with you all. On May 1st, I will be transferring the ownership of landhermitcrabs.com over to JediMasterThrash. As many of you know, I adopted out my hermit crabs several years ago for various reasons. Shortly afterwards, the recession hit and devastated my family. I simply cannot afford to keep LHC at the level of competence you have all grown to expect. This decision was not an easy one to make. It took me several months of thinking I could handle it, then a couple more months of realizing I couldn’t, several weeks of wondering who could take over, then, when I finally emailed them, another month of thinking about their responses. Many of you know JediMasterThrash, he has been a member of both the HCA and also here on LHC for several years. Over the years, when things stalled on the HCA, time and time again JMT was the one who kicked them in the butt and got them moving again. He is a very driven person and he has a great vision for landhermitcrabs.com. It is this drive, combined with his love for hermit crabs, which made the difference. As an aside, I will indeed stay around (mostly lurking) on landhermitcrabs.com, as I have over the past few years. LHC was the first on-line crab forum I ever joined! I joined back in September 2003 through a link on Christa's hermit-crabs.com site. (The start date it shows in the member directory is a year off because I changed usernames after a forum software changeover in 2004)This website saved my crabs from extinction several times.I'll do my best to keep this place around so it can continue to help people and crabs into the future.

Christa, thank you so much for all you've done over the years. LHC has been a life saver on more than one occasion. And congratuations JMT!! I've always enjoyed reading your posts and suggestions and look forward to more insights on the wonderful world of Hermit Crabs!
