HCA: Hermit Crab Association

THis question is just out of curiosity I've been calling one of my crabs a he and the other a she for the longest time and want to know if im being accurated as this was done name wise with no prier knowledge.one of my hermies mved out of he's painted shell then back in then into a shell that apears to be to cumbersome for her to move did I do something wrong?

Here is how you tell sex: http://www.hermit-crabs.com/sexing.html. no you did nothing wrong. They like to explore and try new shells. You'll want to have some the same size as ones they are in now and some a little bigger. As long as there are no holes in the shells, they will find one they like!

Most often everyone mistakes the genders of their crabs; I do that too. Hehe 1 of my crabs I called a boy for about up to a year, then I looked under and surprisingly it was a girl. But in case of gender mistake, I give my crabs unisex names.

I looked, it was hard! Finally figured it out. 3 boys 1 girl and every year now we have mating season! My girl is reddish in color the boys a're all brownish. I iso her for about 2 months. Just to much 3 against 1!!
