heheheheheheheheanyway, so, does anyone have an opinion on me having both a uva and a uvb bulb on at the same time?due to the length of my tank one bulb, from one side, won't heat the whole thing. if i go up in wattage the side that is in use gets way too hot. i do have a teeny tiny uth pad on one side too.using one puts the temp around 75-78 and using both puts the temp around 83-85 depending on the house temp. no time for other heating alternatives at the moment.mainly I'm wondering if the crabs would be confused by having both rays at once. i know they make dual bulbs but……maybe it is always day on one side and always night on another

@beka, hermitcrabs seen in the uv spectrum which is why black light bulbs confuse them and make them think its day time all the time.Having two bands of UV light actually simulates natural sunlight more closely than only having one or the other.

My tank has a moon glow on one side and a regular light on the other. The moon glow is on all the time cause it helps with my heat. But at night I turn off the reg light.
