They are not burrying sthemseleves like they used to with eco earth I buried one by hand to see what happens I need answers please

It may just take them some time to get used to the change. Is it sand castle consistency? Are your temperature and humidity near 80? Anything else change?Don't bury them. They have a way of doing it that creates a pocket. Being buried alive sounds terrifying.

I agree with Geranium, the crabs may need some time to adjust to the new substrate especially if they've been on something else for a long time like months to years a sudden change in substrate type can throw them off and cause some weird or odd behaviors but nothing I would overly concerned with.

To help adjust you could do a mixture of the sand and EE.
