It probably wouldn't harm him.But how would you like it if someone did that to you? The crab has dignity. Not a toy.

I would highly suggest against you don't. For one the people on here are mostly against crabs beings shoved in painted/ decorated shells or painted while in shells because they can be accidentally " glued " in their shells and then they can never molt. Therefore crabs become stressed and can die. 2. It's kind of cruel don't you think? Would you glue Google eyes on an other pet of yours? Please....don't do it..PLEASE!

I don't see why it's not safe, but it's not at all necessary and it's quite cruel actaully. These are live animals not an arts and crafts toy.
