HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I went to kahoots pet store today and imparchesed a plastic hermit crab sand castle hide out and a plastic water dish called little hermit crab pool has anyone ever used this advice

If the water dish is what I have seen, it is too small. I dont recall seeing a sand castle. Is it made for fish aquarium use? Is it painted? Paint is bad news.

Basically if the plastic includes the color its ok if it is painted on the outside it's not. Oh, and anything glow in the dark is toxic to the crabs. Unless you have tiny crabs the bowl isn't deep enough for water but can be used for food. The water dishes need to be deep enough that the largest crab can cover its shell with water if it wants too. If you have a mix of sizes make sure there is something that the smaller ones can use to get out of the water.

Most fish tank aquarium decorations ate safe, like it was said no glow in the dark stuff.You can use the other decoration that you were going to use for water you can use as a food dish. Crabs like to sit their whole shell and all in their waters from time to time.
